You asked, we listened — our new dance classes are finally here!

We truly believe that every young person deserves a space to express themselves.

At Happy Human Collective, we offer an inspiring and non-competitive space for children to practice yoga and mindfulness through play, movement, music and stories.

We wholeheartedly believe that every child is equal, and our non-judgmental practices offer the fun and freedom that our littles need to be their happiest, healthiest selves.

Real benefits, that will help our children feel fulfilled.

Yoga does not focus on levels of ability, winning, or even being better than the person next to you. Instead, it encourages you to be the best you can be, putting the focus back onto the self. It focuses on personal achievements, and is a wonderful sport to help every child feel included.

There are many benefits to incorporating yoga and wellness into your little one’s routine, and at Happy Human Collective we provide the knowledge and tools they, and you, need to get the best out of their practice.

Hi, I’m Sarah!

I’m a UK-based yoga teacher, with the heartfelt mission of creating a safe and inclusive space for children to just be. I grew up in Staffordshire, and since then have spent time living in Bermuda and Cape Town. When the pandemic hit South Africa in 2020, I found myself instinctively leaning towards yoga — a practice that made me feel grounded, optimistic and, above all else, good. I went on to complete a 200HR yoga teacher training programme with Wellness Connection in Cape Town, and I then continued my children’s training with Cosmic Kids UK and Yogibearz SA.

I have over 16 years of experience working with children, aged 3 -18, as an ISTD Modern, Tap and Ballet dance teacher. Teaching children and seeing the transformation within them was the catalyst for Happy Human Collective; I believe that every child is equal, deserving of the chance to express themselves fully and safely, and that is at the heart of everything we do here at Happy Human.

ARE YOU A SCHOOL OR NURSERY?

Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children — a growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, academic performance, and classroom behaviour.
